AGM Appointments to the CBA National Competition Law Section

TORONTO, September 2014 – Three members of Affleck Greene McMurtry LLP’s Competition & Regulatory Law team are serving as Vice-Chairs of committees of the National Competition Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association.
Michael I. Binetti, Partner, has been appointed Vice-Chair, Marketing Practices. David N. Vaillancourt, Associate, has been appointed Vice-Chair, Reviewable Matters/Unilateral Conduct. W. Michael G. Osborne, FCIArb, Partner, continues his position as Vice-Chair, CCLR (Canadian Competition Law Review).
The Competition Law Section is one of CBA’s most active. Committees prepare submissions to the Competition Bureau, the Minister of Industry and various parliamentary bodies on issues impacting business in Canada. Other key functions include organizing educational presentations, recommending programs for the Competition Law Section’s Annual Spring and Fall Conferences, and liaising with foreign and antitrust organizations.
